The Russian President focused on addressing key challenges, the vast majority of Russians sees him as a leader, what are lacking in France, writes former member of National Assembly of France, Christian Vanneste the article for the magazine Boulevard Voltaire.
"The French should take a look at Vladimir Putin with nostalgia and hope. It is people of this caliber are needed in our country, if we want to keep it up. In any case, France should change the attitude to Russia", — writes Vannest.
The French politician notes that the Russian leader is not afraid to look facts in the eye. It is the pragmatism and realism, according to Vanneste, distinguish Putin from most other politicians who can only envy his ratings.
Vannest stresses that France's time to change the attitude to Russia because the two countries have a lot in common.
"The complementarity of the Russian and Eurasia Western Europe is obvious. Russia and France have a common culture (Christianity) and interests. And it is time for us to have it understood," he concludes.
